PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced a special police squad named Abbabeel Squad with the goal of effectively preventing street crimes.
In the city through effective and smart policing as an important and innovative step to further improve the overall law and order situation in the provincial capital. A police squad formed to combat street crime.
In a ceremony conducted here in Police Line on Wednesday, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan formally established the Abbabeel Squad.
The squad would initially be made up of 800 specially trained police officers and 200 modify motorcycles that will patrol the city 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For clever surveillance, the Abbabeel Squad will be outfitt with sophisticated communication devices, body cameras, drone cameras, and other technical gear.

A wireless communication system will connect the squad to a central control room. For patrol purposes, the entire city has divided into 100 distinct beats, with the two-rider squad patrolling each beat at the same time.
The Abbabeel Squad will be expand with 800 more personnel and 200 more motorcycles in the future.
The CM, speaking at the inauguration, state that it was urgently need due to the city’s growing population and rising prevalence of street violence.
He stated that this special squad would have a significant impact on general law and order and would be beneficial in efficiently preventing street crimes.
He added that it was also critical to preserve law and order during the approaching local government elections.
The chief minister stated that the Abbabeel Squad would be roll out to divisional and district headquarters in the next phase, and that this another important step taken by the provincial government to improve policing in the province after the launch of Asaan Insaaf Marakaz and Police Madadgar.
