Celebrate an at-home spa day
Create the perfect surroundings for relaxation. Light up some essential oil candles and take a relaxing bath. Spoil yourself with a facial of your choice, and indulge in a manicure and pedicure while you condition your hair. Go all in and come out feeling refreshed and squeaky clean!
Baking can be fun if it’s done on a day when you are bored. Get your favourite recipe out and bake a cake or brownies or some scrumptious muffins. Search for an easy bake recipe for a beginner if you feel lazy. Or if you are really in the mood, bake a whole savoury dish and surprise family members.
Pop some popcorn
Popcorn is a snack where you can’t go wrong. It pairs finely with caffeinated or soft drinks. Further, it is the best option if you want to binge watch something on Netflix. Try the stove-top popped version. It’s not too tricky. You can make a batch easily if you pour a cupful of oil in a pan then add a handful or two of corn kernels. Journaling is said to be one of the most relieving activities for mental health, provided you are consistent. Feeling down and out? Write about it. The more you express yourself in words, the more habitual you become. As humans, we yearn to vent out to someone when we are stressed. Have you ever thought about the hundreds of unopened emails in your inbox? The ones you promised you would read or save for as important for some reason but you never got a chance to? Well, now is your chance to sift through that pile and deal with it finally. Delete irrelevant emails, and read ignored ones, then sort them in relevant folders. Bless those boredom hours!

Be honest! How many times you have delayed that important task or clean-up because you forgot or didn’t have time? Call that friend you have been meaning to keep in touch with. You know that one friend whose always there for you when it gets rough.
