Death and Sufferings in the year of pandemic.
It’s not the first time in the history of mankind that a serious disease like Covid destroyed the world’s autonomy. Humankind had also suffered from a drastic infection like Plague in the 14th century, Dread Flue in the 20th century, and presently 21st century, Corona.
All these deadliest breakthroughs brought a lot of deaths and sufferings to mankind. For the first time, humans were not able to deal with this problem. They did not know how these infections began and how they could be cured. But then, scientific innovations overcome this problem.
”Vaccines are the best Invention” Harari said.
The author of Sapiens believed that the best invention throughout humankind is the Vaccines. He said;
“Vaccines have done such a good job, that many of us cannot even imagine how bad life was without them”
According to the author of Homo Deus, many of us scare from injecting vaccines as we believe it is an artificial foreign substance. And it sounds so scary. But it is inaccurate. He said;
“Vaccines are not a foreign substance. They are just an effective way to train our natural immune system”
Automation and Extended Technologies
In the beginning, before the previous breakthrough, the world wasn’t assembling the rapid use of technology and automation. People during the Plague had quarantined themselves but they could not trace symptoms of invisible germs. They asked to stay at home for several weeks but it resulted in economic ruin, mass starvation, and social breakdown. Afterward, humans retained a solution to these problems. Furthermore, they have moved towards online working while in business, education, social connectedness, and many other fields. Even more important is that the internet and automation have made life feasible during this pandemic.
The bottom line:
Lessons from the year of Pandemic.
However, we need to take account of our interests and values as it is an attack on our social, political, and economic system. We need to help each other and discern ourselves. It is high time to think socially that how could we summarize this pandemic. The most important is “what can we play a role? ”. The utmost respect and sensational care can only bring hope for ones who loses their jobs, loses schools, lose health nutrition, and cure for depressed people imposing lockdown.
