Saleem — who is to star alongside Wahaj Ali in an upcoming ZEE5 web series by Haseeb Hasan. Will also be seen on our television screens in the drama Ishq e Junoon. The drama has been written by Radian Shah. Directed by Ahmed Bhatti and produced by iDream Entertainment. The cast will include Nauman Ejaz, Atiqa Odho. And Shahood Alvi alongisde Taimoor and Saleem.
Speaking to Images, Saleem said the drama will “definitely take audiences through a rollercoaster of emotions”. “It’s basically a very tragic love story,” she explained.
Talking about her role in the drama, Saleem said her character. Maha, is a “very traditional Eastern girl”. The project itself has been a “wonderful experience” for her. “I feel honoured to be working next to such talented people. I’m learning so much from everyone,” she said.

Talking about the upcoming ZEE5 project. Saleem said. She’s honoured to be working with director Hasan and co-star Ali. “Working with Haseeb bhai is an absolute honour. And a career high for my very young career,” she said. “Wahaj is [also] super fun and a great co-star. He really goes out of the way to help me. With my scenes and even with the crafting of my character.”

Saleem divulged a little about her character in the web series as well. “It’s a very grey character,” she said. “It’s a character that’s very unlike me to perform. Which makes it all the more exciting. The narrative of the character is built around deep rooted issues. That many people go through while they’re growing up.”

Ishq e Junoon is expected to air by the end of November.
