Film on ‘Javed Iqbal’ postponed till January
Since the project’s first glimpse, Abu Aleeha’s highly awaited film on Pakistan’s most notorious serial murderer, Javed Iqbal, has been the talk of the town. The trailer for Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer featured violent pursuit sequences, high-octane emotions, and a disturbing voiceover by Hussain in the role of Iqbal.
The upcoming film appears to be a fascinating offering with a unique tale set in a local market overrun with the same old uninteresting romances and domestic conflicts. The film is based on the director’s own novel. Aleeha’s writing, titled Kukri after Iqbal’s childhood name, became a success and is now adapted into Hussain and Omar’s latest project.
