In a recent interview, actor Deepika Padukone, who diagnose with Covid-19 in May of last year. It discussed how the disease affected her. The actor describe the illness and the two-month recuperation time as “extremely challenging,” revealing that she suffer from a lack of mental clarity as well as changes in her looks as a result of the medication she was prescribed. Speaking to the Film Companion, the Bajirao Mastani actor elaborated on the physical and mental effects of Covid she suffered from. “Life, after Covid, changed for me because physically, I was unrecognisable completely,” explain the actor. She add, “I think (it due to) the medication I give, the steroids that I put on. So Covid in itself was weird, your body feels different, your mind feels different.”

Deepika said, “I felt like everything was still acceptable when I had the illness. It but after that, I needed to take two months off work because my mind wasn’t working.” For me, the phase was quite challenging.”
Deepika has outspoken about the pandemic’s mental health ramifications, previously posting on Instagram. A list of mental health helplines that people can call during this terrible time. “As millions of us (my family included) struggle to keep afloat, let us not forget that our emotional well-being in this current crisis is also vital!” the actor said in the caption. Keep in mind that you are not alone. It most importantly, there is hope!”.
Next up for the actor is the upcoming film Gehraiyyan, in which he will star alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi. Deepika’s most recent acting role was in the film ’83, in which she co-starred with her husband Ranveer Singh. “It was good to work with Ranveer in a bit more realistic situation,” she remarked in an interview, adding. “Not having to mouth such heavy conversations with the kind of language that we did on the previous three films.” It was invigorating. We had to remind ourselves that “this is the same actor with whom I’ve previously worked.”
