While Meta intends to continue implementing its vision of the metaverse. It also wants to stay ahead of the generative AI race by announcing a separate artificial intelligence group.
Meta recently unveiled an artificial intelligence (AI) model that is capable of identifying specific items in images, placing it in direct competition with other leading AI industry giants like Google and Microsoft. The company also has other plans, like letting advertisers use artificial intelligence to make ads that are interesting.

Meta has its own large language model called LLaMa, just like ChatGPT from OpenAI and Bard from Google. Like other AI models, LLaMa can answer questions and provide a summary for large documents, among other things.
In 2022, the company’s Reality Labs division, which focuses on the metaverse, reports a loss of over $13 billion, which offset by massive advertising revenues of $116.61 billion.
CTO Bosworth says that Meta can use these new generative AI tools to make more money from ads. He also said that the company can use AI to let advertisers use a variety of images that work for different people rather than just one image throughout the advertising campaign.
Bosworth went on to say that the company could use artificial intelligence in the Metaverse in the future.
According to Bosworth, “in the future, you might be able to just describe the world you want to create and have the large language model generate that world for you.” This would make content creation much more accessible to a wider audience.
