Pakistani Users Will Soon Have Option Of Using Twitter Blue

Abdullah Khan February 28, 2023

Twitter Blue, also known as a subscription service, will soon be available to Pakistani users. Some Pakistani users have noticed the blue Twitter icon in the sidebar of the website version of the platform. When the icon is clicked, a window describing the subscription features opens. As one of these features, the user’s name has a blue checkmark (tick) next to it.

Uploading long videos is possible; it is possible to use images from NFT profiles; to upload a video in 1080p (HD). Despite the fact that the feature has not yet been officially introduced in Pakistan, the payment schedule has not been made public. The Twitter Blue service is available in 12 additional countries (USA) in addition to the United States of America. Pakistan might soon be able to use this new service, too.

The app’s desktop version costs $8 (Rs 2,200), while the iOS and Android versions cost more than $11 (Rs 3,000) to access all of the new features. It is important to note that the app was first introduced by Elon Musk in November 2022. However, the service was soon overwhelmed by fake accounts belonging to celebrities and institutions marked with a blue tick, leading to its dissolution.

Anyone who is willing to pay will now be able to use the blue check mark, which was previously accessible for free to verified accounts of politicians, famous people, journalists, and other public figures. It was launched last year to assist Twitter in increasing revenue amid Elon Musk’s struggle to retain advertisers.

According to Twitter’s website, Android users will be able to purchase Twitter Blue’s monthly subscription for $11, which is the same price as iOS users pay. Similar to Apple’s App Store, Android’s Google Play Store’s higher prices are likely offset by lower fees. Blue’s annual subscription plan, which could only be purchased online, cost $84 instead of $8 per month for a web subscription.

Twitter stated that countries like the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia would be eligible for the discount for web users. Musk added earlier in December that by next year, Twitter will offer a higher tier without advertisements and that the basic blue tick will have half as many advertisements.

In the following year, in December 2022, the same services were provided with a few minor modifications. Twitter is a social media platform where users can post short messages, or “tweets,” that can be written, filmed, or illustrated. It has grown to be one of the world’s largest and most well-known social media networks since its inception in 2006.

Subscribing to Twitter Blue, a paid subscription service that the social media platform offers, allows users to access premium features and enhance their platform experience. One of the features is the ability to undo tweets, change color schemes, and access only official Twitter content. The cost of the service varies by region.
