YouTube Shorts Creators Will Now Receive Ad Revenue

Abdullah Khan January 31, 2023

For each ad that plays before a YouTube Short, YouTube gives creators approximately 45% of the advertiser’s total payout.
YouTube Shorts are hugely popular on the platform and have proven to be a huge success on YouTube since their launch in 2020. In total, according to data, short films on YouTube have him up to 30 billion views per day, but unlike feature-length video creators, short film creators have not yet been paid for their content.

YouTube has announced a partnership program to monetize content produced by YouTube short film creators. To enroll in the Creators Program, YouTube has set various terms and conditions that creators must follow and agree to by July 10th.

Looking at the details, this partnership program between short creators and YouTube will account for 45% and 55% respectively. This means that YouTube splits the ad revenue earned from ads played before the YouTube short video.

In addition to the update, YouTube also rolled out a “monetization module”. This is, simply put, a dashboard that gives creators more flexibility in how they handle their earnings on the platform. However, YouTube encourages creators to accept all modules to maximize their earning potential.

Similar to feature-length video creators, YouTube short-film creators must meet certain criteria before they can be enrolled in monetization. According to rules set by YouTube, a creator must have at least 1,000 followers and he has more than 10 million short film views within 90 days before registering for monetization. I have.
