ISLAMABAD: The next Pak-Turk collaborative drama series on Salahuddin Ayubi would star four well-known Pakistani actors. The show will centre on the life of Saladin, a renown Muslim leader who is better recognise in the West. Ayesha Omar and Ushna Shah are slate to star in a Salahuddin Ayyubi.
In the initial round of auditions held in Lahore and Karachi, Ushna Shah, Adnan Jilani, Farhan Agha, and Ayesha Omar chosen. Over 6,000 professional and aspiring performers submitted for the trials. But only 62 chose for the Islamic warrior series, which will be air simultaneously in Pakistan and Turkey.

In an interview with BBC Asian Network, renowned Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui, who chosen as executive producer alongside Humayun Saeed, Dr Kashif Ansari, and Dr Junaid Ali Shah, said: “I am excited, I can feel it in my bones that this particular series will do wonders for Pakistanis.”

“It will open doors for Pakistani actors in the international market. ” Siddiqui went on to say, “because the only way we can reach the international market is through Turkey.”
Pakistan’s Ansari and Shah Films and Turkey’s Akli Films have signed a contract to jointly produce a TV series on the Muslim general. The selected Pakistani actors are Ushna Shah, Adnan Jilani, Farhan Agha, and Ayesha Omar.

Pakistani actors in the international market
“A contract struck between Akli Films and Ansari & Shah Films for the next Pak-Turk joint series. ” Turkish producer Emre Konuk, owner of Akli Film, state in a tweet.
“The upcoming show already got a lot of attention even before it release. As see by the enormous number of candidates who want to be a part of the series,” Konuk says.
Konuk went on to say that they were in Pakistan to talk about an unreleased collaboration. He claimed they had discussed their ideas with Prime Minister Imran Khan and other high-ranking figures in Pakistan’s film industry and the world of culture.
PM Imran was also a fan of Salahuddin, according to the Turkish producer. “Prime Minister Khan feels that this project will reverberate around the world and that it will also be very important for the younger generations,” he said during the premiere.
He conclude that the much-anticipated drama series will be shot in Turkey on sets custom-built for the occasion.
