Google is Reportedly Making its Own Version of AirTags
These make it easier for Android users to locate personal items like keys and backpacks, similar to Apple AirTags.
Apple Air Tags have made it easier for iPhone users to locate important items like keys, backpacks, and luggage for years. Android users will undoubtedly miss the ability to locate small objects using their phones, but it won’t be around for long.
News from Android developer and leaker Kuba Wojciechowski Google is currently working on a device that is similar to the Apple AirTags, according to his leak. The Grogu device was named after a popular character from The Mandalorian.
Wojciechowski said in the information he leaked that his new Google Pixel phone and the AirTag Android replacement would launch this fall. “Grgu” is compatible with both Bluetooth and Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, in contrast to the Apple Airtag, which is compatible only with Bluetooth. Although UWB isn’t widely used on other Android phones, Google made it available with his Pixel 7, making the Grogu and it a great match.
Because UWB technology allows for more precise location tracking, Grogu works well with the Pixel 7.
Grogu is currently being developed by the Google Nest team, which is in charge of developing Google’s smart home products. However, once it is released, Grogu will not be included in the Nest product category.
He will showcase his Grugo at the Google Annual I/O conference in May, according to various sources.
