Hum Style Awards 2021: Disappointed by the Revealing Clothes of Divas

Zahra July 8, 2021

The fifth edition of the Hum Style Awards 2021 took place on Sunday in Lahore, with almost all stars from TV, cinema, and fashion in attendance, but many people watching the clips and images from the red carpet flood in on social media noticed one notable absence – the style itself.

”

There was plenty of criticism of so-called “revealing” clothing, what stood out was the lack of creativity and the low quality of design and execution. There is a fine line between glamorous and vulgar, but it appears that the stylists have lost their touch.

Few Celebrities Reacted To The 5th Hum Style Awards 2021 Event

Bilal Qureshi uploaded an Instagram Story with the caption, “LADIES! Trust me since you are all beautiful and talented. You don’t have to wear revealing dresses to look like a diva at any award show (With Due Respect).”

The Instagram Story is as follows:

His statements about policing solely the ladies at the event were not appreciated on social media.

Simi Raheel, a veteran actress, commented in reaction to the award function’s outfit.

“What’s with the dresses people? Please explain why it is important to dress like the western fashion world please explain! Do we have any cultural identity left? I can walk English, I can talk English but I can never be English! Being modern comes from the mind from education from being enlightened.”

Similarly, Iffat Omar called the lackluster red carpet clothes on exhibit the “death of fashion.”

While actor Faizan Sheikh also expressed his opinions.

“Not one stand out style on the famous style awards. we need to learn big time. Style doesn’t mean expensive clothes. Style doesn’t mean skin show. Style doesn’t mean go crazy with it. You can make a style statement even with something very simple yet very classy!”
