Nintendo to Stop Making Anymore Mario Games for Smartphones

Even though mobile games like “Super Mario Run” and “Mario Kart Tour” were popular. Nintendo’s chief announced that no more Mario games will be made for mobile devices. If you love playing Mario on your mobile device, we have bad news for you. Nintendo to Stop Making Anymore Mario Games for Smartphones.

Despite the success of its previous mobile games. Nintendo has just announced that it will no longer produce Mario games for smartphones.

The first game in the Mario series releases in 1996 for the Nintendo iQue Player console. It has been a huge success on a variety of platforms. Following the initial game’s success, Nintendo continued the series and released subsequent installments for a variety of consoles, including the Wii, Nintendo 64, and the Nintendo Switch, among others.

It was only after 2016 that Nintendo chose to make Mario games for cell phones and the organization then delivers the “Super Mario Run”. A significant title that got more than $60 million in income.

Nintendo to Stop Making Anymore Mario Games for Smartphones

This delivery trails by the “Mario Kart Visit”, which turned into a huge hit and produced more than $300 million.

Although Nintendo director and designer “Shigeru Miyamoto” stated that mobile apps will not be the path for future Mario games. The fact that Nintendo will cease producing mobile games confirmed by the company’s massive revenue figures.

Shigeru Miyamoto stated, “Having Mario games as mobile apps expands the doorway for a far greater audience to experience the game. It expands the Mario gaming experience, where you only need your thumb on one hand.”

Miyamoto did not discuss other Nintendo mobile games during his interview, implying that this switch is only for Mario games. This includes Fire Emblem Heroes and Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, among others.

Even though it is abundantly clear that we will no longer be able to play new Mario games on our mobile devices. People are still speculating about the new Mario games device. Experts believe that the Nintendo Switch is the most appealing option.
