What an iconic movie ‘Jab we met’ has been because of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s stunning acting as ‘Geet’ and of course its captivating dialogues throughout the movie. She will forever remain in everyone’s heart as ‘Geet’.
There are many girls who compare themselves with ‘Geet’ or want to be like her in many aspects. You’re lying if you say you don’t like Geet’s character or the movie.
Yes, I’m on the top of that category who thinks of them as Geet, and no doubt because of Geet’s character it’s one of my favorite films and maybe yours too.
I don’t think anybody can be like Geet one hundred percent but yes, you can be on a small scale. Do you think you’re? What a coincidence! I think so too. Okay, not one hundred percent but might be on large scale.
Let’s prove then. Here are some qualities Geet possessed in her. Let’s see on what scale we are similar to ‘Geet’.
If you’re a socially confident and outgoing person you can count your point. Like Geet, she was highly confident and friendly when it comes to talking to a stranger or making friends.
People, mostly introverts should cherish you because all introverts are kind of adopted by an extrovert like Geet adopted Aditya. LOL. He became too comfortable with her in no time.
2. If you’re bold:
Geet was never afraid of speaking her heart and mind. She feared nobody. She always stood up for her rights. If you can unhesitatingly do what you want or demand it then whoa! Bravo!
3. If you’re crazy and blunt:
Like Geet who was always enthusiastic and forceful that she never mind her words in front of anyone. And know how to put people in their place. She always put her words blunt yet honest.
Geet was too insane to handle but too lovely to be ignored. She was crazy yet too joyful. Are you too?
4. You’re too innocent:
That’s not a quality to praise but yes it is. Too much innocence is foolish. If it wasn’t a gentleman like Aditya anybody else could’ve used Geet at any instance.
However, innocence is a trait of good-hearted people. If you think before doing good things it’s not pure-hearted.
5. You’re a dreamer:
Not everyone has a good vision. Even dreams need a sense of creativity. Geet always dreamt to live in mountains and she also liked adventures. And if you do so too then thumbs-up girl!
People like us find serene in nature but not in reality. We have unrealistic expectations we know are never going to come true. But we still dream.
6. You live in the moment and don’t care about repercussions:
Life is too short to think about what is going to happen in the future and ruin the present moment, no? Nobody knows what tomorrow beholds. Doing what your heart says will leave you guiltless even if things don’t go the way you wanted.
This can be dangerous at times but we know what is destined will happen even if we’re not ready or if we’re precautious. Yes, Geet suffered because of unintended consequences but mistakes are a lesson, isn’t it true?
7. You’re annoying yet hilarious:
Being an extrovert basically means you’re too talkative. And sometimes people can get annoyed because of your continuous blabber.
Although, your blabber is silly and funny but can make anyone distract from their worries and make them laugh out loud. Hence, you’re admired like Geet was.
8. You’re rebellious:
In today’s world if you do what you want to and not what others want you to do then you’re a rebel. Following your heart and not others, the command is called disobedience.
It’s common nowadays that parents’ and children’s relationship is complicated. Parents want what children do not even think of. Some are obedient and acknowledge their parent’s decisions while some become rebels.
9. You use slang:
Although most guys use slang language there are girls who use it too. I am one of them though. And these types of girls know how to handle those bitches.
10. You practice self-love:
How many of us can proudly say that we love our flaws and imperfections? How many of us actually practice self-care and have accepted ourselves?
If you love yourself no matter what others interpret it, I am proud of you. Be you, be your own favorite.
A while ago, Nimra Ali, a viral sensation, the video went viral. People liked that happy girl initially and called her Geet from Jab we met but then suddenly started bashing her.
The reason for this sudden hatred was, that people thought she is fake. She is acting and overreacting. After her first video, every other video seem to be scripted and that made the people (netizens) furious.
I have a question, who gave you the right to say anything about her? Even if she was faking who are you to judge her and pass those shitty remarks? Shut your mouth, God damn fools! Do your own job?
She was doing it to make your day, to make you laugh and what you did to her, made her cry on national television. Me, you, and everybody else, all have the right to live our lives in our own way. If you can’t say well then at least don’t say bad.
Final thoughts:
Living in the present moment and not caring about anyone is something we all should adopt. Happy-go-lucky people are always cheerful and loved by everyone.
These people are not ‘attention seekers’. This is their true personality. If you can’t stand them then stay away from them. They need nobody’s approval (including yours) to be themselves. Period.
I guess, I am Geet on a small scale and will try to be more. What about you?
