The King of Comedy
Umar Shareef’s real name is Mohamad Umar. He is one of Pakistan’s greatest comedians. He is also a director, producer and a TV personality. Initially, he started off as a stage performer at the age of 14. His most popular shows include, Bakra Qiston Pe and Buddha Ghar Pe Hai. Some stage plays even came out on video and made this star a very prominent personality. His success began from that day onwards and he was on a roller-coaster of favourable performances. He has received many accolades for his amazing genre, including Best Actor in 1992 for Mr. 420 and several Nigar Awards. He is also recipient of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. He is often referred to as the King of Comedy in the sub-continent. Popular Indian comedians such as Johnny Lever call him the God of Asian Comedy.
Umar Shareef’s Tragedy
Thus, it is a real tragedy that an actor who made everyone laugh is now unwell. A few days ago his daughter passed away which really traumatized him. Indeed it must have made him really depressed. He has, however, been making appearances on TV like recently for Nida Yasir’s Ramadan Special Show (Shan-e-Suhoor). Overall, he seems to be surrounded by some sort of poor health and appears forlorn and drawn out in his pictures.
Conclusion
Therefore, we pray for his healing and immediate improvement. His fans are sad indeed that he is unable to perform like he used to for the stage. May God grant him good health and speedy recovery from all illness. Amen!
