The city of light Karachi gets flooded by heavy rainfall.
In this rainfall, many people’s houses got destroy and around 40 to 60 peoples lost their lives Due to this heavy rainfall.
People get stuck in the traffic because roads are full of water that cars, buses, and bikes can’t move from their positions.
Around 5 to 6 peoples are died because of lighting in Gulshan and Johar.
Government Failures:
Our government has not taken big action against the weather predictions they have to clear the sewerage system so the water flow can automatically drown into a big draining system they didn’t remove the trash so the water gets stuck to flow so water gets stables on every street of Karachi.
Karachi dams are fully filled, So the water will come into the city.

Pakistan navy and army rescue the public of Karachi from this heavy rain.
The navy teams also rescued 55 people trapped in the flooded areas of Malir and Korangi Crossing.
Due to power outages, Edhi’s 115 helpline service was affected and water gets into the control rooms.
K-Electric Failure as usual:
Several areas of Karachi facing electricity problems around 250 to 300 PMTs of Karachi Electric (KE) have tripped after this heavy rainfall.
“It has never rained so much in the month of August, according to our data,” Sarfaraz said.
The department said that 223.5 mm of rain has fallen in just 12 hours on Thursday only and on July 26, 1967, the rain has fallen 211.3 mm recorded. This is the heaviest rainfall in this city.
The Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah announce a public holiday of Friday, August 28, 2020, to stay at home.
