THE SCHOOLS WILL BE RESUMED ON 15TH SEPTEMBER

Khadija Tul Kubra September 7, 2020

Although in my view the educational institutions shall not be reopened again on 15th September. The social -distancing expectations and wearing mask requirements for the primary is unrealistic. Within a few days of the opening of school will result in an increase in corona virus cases and teachers and students become ill. All it takes is for a single staff or a student to become hospitalized for COVID and everything will shut down.

The evidence is in front of us please look at the New York situation they also reopen the school but their COVID cases rise and their students and staff of institution get infected after only a few days. The pandemic is worse in America also. So why would schools reopen in Pakistan now?

Cleaning surfaces is not enough. No matter how many times they clean the surfaces. elementary students would yet not have awareness and guidance. We cannot confident that staff and students have the proper equipment. It cannot possible that the government and their volunteers go to every single school and check out the SOPs and equipment. The government is taking staff and student’s health risks.

I felt suspicious that this well-known fact was not discussed in the debate until yet when I hear the topic in the news.

Several changes make school unrecognizable. It is not what anyone wants, but fall does not seem like a good time to reopen schools.
