Have you ever wondered of going to Switzerland or are you looking for an awesome adventure in cheap rates and great hospitality well the northern areas of Pakistan will do the work for you.
Northern Areas Of Pakistan
Well to be honest life is sometimes too boring or you need some adventure or peace to move on I was looking for the same so we decided to visit the northern areas of Pakistan. The best time to visit the northern areas is August to September because there are less tourists then the month of June and July and the rates of the hotels and restaurants also became relatively cheaper. I started my journey from Karachi our first stop was Lahore as Lahore is the capital of culture in Punjab and as it is said whoever haven’t visited Lahore isn’t born so we reached Lahore we met our relatives and after having refreshments moved towards our journey to the northern areas.
(Balakot)
Our first stop was Balakot after 12 hours of driving and believe me after reaching Balakot all the stress and Jadedness was gone away after having this view of beautiful green mountains with lots of trees
In Balakot as it was the off season so we got a room in a beautiful hotel named pine tree hotel at a really cheap cost which also had a view of lake at its front the lake is known as Darya –E – Kunar and you will see that lake throughout your journey as it comes from many rivers and mountains and you can’t really tell what’s the starting point of that lake.
(Darya –E- Kunar)
After having a one day stay at Balakot we started moving towards Naran passing these beautiful valleys and mountains and little villages the hospitality of these people is really amazing if you need any type of help or if you don’t have money for food they are willing to help you free of cost.
(Local Farmer)
And most of the people there are farmers and they start there day from early in the morning and take their animals for walk and look after their farms and they sleep early when the sun sets I have seen people around the world but these people were really attractive without doing any makeup or something there skin was really glowing and they are really strong compared to us because they walk miles up and down the hills to purchase things from the markets.
(Valleys Of Naran And Kaghan)
(Local Cattle)
As we reached Naran it is a beautiful city and it is well populated with a lot of hotels and big restaurants chains like subway etc. . Well Naran is a market city it has a great view of mountains with a lot of markets there selling their cultural things like shawls and their cultural hats at Naran there is a point where you can go for rafting and if you are visting Naran and haven’t done rafting believe me you missed everything. So at morning we moved towards Jheel Saif – UL – Malook as it is famous for its fairytales that fairy’s used to bath in the water of that lake the roads which goes to the lake are totally broken so you have to hire a jeep service to take you there it is a journey of almost 2 hours to reach Saif –UL-Malook and when you reach there you’ll feel like you are literally in a fairy land the water of the lake is crystal clear and its really cold like minus in temperature so don’t try to go into the water because you’ll end up getting sick.
(Jheel Saif – UL- Malook)
After lake Saif-UL-Malook our last stop was Babusar Top after that we have to go back for Karachi.
Talking about Babusar it is a point which is 15 thousand feet above at a mountain the Babusar point you can have a view of the Himalayan ranges and all the beautiful mountains covered in snow and if you are luck you can also witness snow fall on Babusar or you can also see a glacier but its only sometimes that you can see it during the months if August till September.
(Babusar Top)
Overall my experience of visiting the northern areas of Pakistan was really amazing all the astonishing and beautiful views of nature was amazing and I would recommend every one that instead of visiting different countries just give your country a chance and visit these beautiful places with full of adventures . Well I’m going to plan to visit again next year but now explore different parts of northern Pakistan and I would suggest you to just forget all the luxury travelling to different countries and explore the northern areas of Pakistan.
